(COLUMBUS, Ohio)The Office of Budget and Management (OBM) collaborated with the Business Intelligence team at the Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) during the fall months to develop a data dashboard that helps visualize and detail the federal funds awarded and spent in Ohio to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

All of the Federal award and spending data is available on the Ohio Checkbook tool, by clicking the COVID-19 link or go to: checkbook.ohio.gov/Coronavirus.

As the user searches for grant information, various views are available in the top right-hand corner.  Detailed spending information is available by clicking on the grant or the amount to drill into levels of detail.  A list of grant descriptions is available via the menu on the left side of the home page.

“The pandemic has been difficult for many Ohioans, and it has been our priority to put available federal funding into the hands of the people and organizations who need it the most,” said Governor Mike DeWine. “This dashboard is a helpful tool in knowing how much funding has been distributed throughout the state.”

“The state of Ohio leads the nation in providing our citizens with transparent, detailed spending data. OBM is committed to continuously improving the Ohio Checkbook site to make the information even more accessible. During this global pandemic, it is crucial that we show to taxpayers how we are deploying their hard-earned dollars to support communities across the state on the front-line fight against the virus,” said OBM Director Kimberly Murnieks.
