Recent headlines concerning various security breaches of government-held personal information and incidents of government employee misuse of computers serve as important reminders to take a fresh look at the sufficiency of the IT controls in place in our respective agencies. Representatives from the Office of Information Technology will highlight noteworthy government IT lapses recently making headlines and examine the direction to agencies that Ohio has established to help prevent such incidents. An overview of upcoming state IT administrative rules and policies currently in development will also be included. The session will conclude with an overview of Ohio's IT incident response program.
