Capital Budget

Fiscal Year 2013-2014

In early 2012, Governor John Kasich announced his biennial capital budget proposal for fiscal years 2013 and 2014. This capital budget - Ohio's first in four years - makes more than $1.74 billion in fiscally responsible investments to maintain and improve the state's educational and public-service infrastructure. Focusing on schools, higher education, technological research and workforce development, the capital budget directs limited, but strategically targeted state dollars in ways that help keep Ohio a leader in the competitive world economy.
